Head of Product Management

As Head of Product Management, you are, together with your team, responsible for ensuring our product range is optimally aligned with a rapidly evolving market. In this way, you help to maintain and strengthen our position as a reliable supplier.

You will develop a clear strategy to ensure our market coverage and time-to-market remain competitive, translate this into concrete objectives, and continuously seek out new opportunities to strengthen our market position.

You will bring out the best in your team and take the lead yourself on various projects, working closely with global internal stakeholders such as R&D, Procurement, Production, Sales and Marketing.

As a member of the management team, you will help shape the strategic direction and long-term development of the organisation.

Your responsibilities

Product portfolio and market insights

• You will have overall responsibility for the product portfolio and for setting priorities regarding the launch of new products and applications.

• You will analyse market and competitor data and identify opportunities and gaps.

• You analyse the global vehicle fleet and identify trends that will impact future product offerings.

• You have ultimate responsibility for ensuring the correct flow of information, specifications and enhancements to the various databases and standards.

• You initiate and support your team in developing projects that lead to data optimisations (e.g. PIM).
  

Product Innovation and Quality

• You develop the product portfolio and propose innovative ideas regarding the product range.

• As the person with final responsibility for product quality, you define the required product standards and oversee technical validation, implementation and documentation.

• You formulate concrete actions in response to technical customer claims and escalate matters to the relevant stakeholders.

• You analyse specific customer enquiries that fall outside our standard range in terms of feasibility, scalability and ROI.

• You initiate innovations in products and solutions and closely monitor their development in collaboration with R&D, Production, Procurement, etc.

• You ensure high-quality and targeted input to colleagues (sales, marketing, etc.) and customers regarding new products, solutions, etc., including by providing training.

Leadership

• You ensure your team is challenged and support them in their development.

• You ensure clear roles and responsibilities

• You monitor both team and individual KPIs and help to achieve them.

• You work closely with and report directly to the CEO

• You are part of the management team, through which you influence the broader and long-term business objectives.

• You have a higher education qualification in Automotive Engineering/Automotive Mechanics and have substantial experience within the (broad) automotive sector.

• You are skilled at coaching and motivating a team.

• You are proactive, spot opportunities and throw yourself into them.

• You have a commercial mindset.

• You have strong analytical skills.

• You speak English and Dutch fluently. Knowledge of other languages is an asset.
